Moor Pond Woods are located between Papplewick, Hucknall and Linby. The woods are important for their wildlife and archaeology and is looked after and developed by volunteers from the local community.
Steeped in History, the area is a fantastic place for walking and has fantastic views of woodlands life and nature including a stunning waterfall.
Since our partnership back in 2009, the Friends of Moor Pond Woods have been able to achieve their targets of raising the profile of the woodlands as well as restore some of the historical areas thanks to funding.
We’ve been proud to support Moor Ponds Woods throughout this now having developed their website for the second time, we’re looking forward to seeing more of the great work the volunteers of the community achieve.
