Who they are

Eats n Treats is a busy and popular cafe based in Eastwood in Nottinghamshire who pride themselves on preparing freshly made meals and catering to a variety of dietary requirements including meals which are compatible with the ‘Slimming World’ diet programme. They also provide a catering service for events such as christenings, birthdays and weddings. As a side to their business, they also provide a corporate catering service and have worked for companies such as DHL and Greene King.

What the issue was

Their existing website needed some love – it wasn’t providing very many leads, in part due to its dated appearance and its lack of responsiveness. There were features that were lacking, such as the ability to see the current menu, which let the website down. The catering side of the business was also being under-represented, with very little information on the services offered and nothing to show the prestigious clients that had already used the service.

The website needed to be able to drive in new local customers, as well as new customers for the catering service. Eats n Treats also wanted to be able to better market their regular events and food nights, including an online booking system.

How we helped

Originally, the business didn’t have any branding per se, just the shop sign. We used this to extrapolate the fonts and colours used and started to build a brand identity based on these elements so that the website was cohesive with the shop frontage. As part of this process, we also encouraged Eats n Treats to commission some new professional photographs, which would help to show off the cosy cafe, its garden and, most importantly, their food to their fullest extent.

Whilst designing and developing the website, we integrated the new brand identity throughout and focused on showcasing the menu, catering services – particularly the corporate side – and events that Eats n Treats offer. The website was structured so that corporate catering was separated from private catering services, with the high level clients that the business has worked with set out and showcased. We developed custom event booking forms that pulled through the relevant data from the event page itself and allowed the customers to book online directly with the business.

What happened next

This website has only recently launched, but already they have seen a big increase in traffic on it. Hopefully this growth will continue, with the website forming a cornerstone to their business.

It’s been a pleasure working with Elaine to help grow her business to the next level. The new website and support will help drive in more customers and orders from professional companies.

We recommended Eats n Treats to any business looking to cater for an event or just treat their staff.
